Police Scotland's Rural Watch - crime prevention scheme for Appin.

Rural Watch Scotland encompasses farms, rural businesses, domestic dwellings and holiday properties within the stated area. The area will benefit from joint patrols from the partner agencies and provide you with a clear point of contact for any issues you may have.

All parties that agree to join up will benefit from:
-regular contact with officers designated to the area from each partner service.
-An introductory leaflet explaining the scheme.
-An incident record booklet.
-Regular e-mail updates on crime issues that may affect you or your business.
-Access to the Rural Watch Scotland website www.ruralwatchscotland.co.uk
-As part of the Neighbourhood Watch Scotland group your insurance company may provide a 10% discount on your premiums.
-Quality weatherproof signage can be provided to deter thieves and advertise that you and your neighbours are part of a recognised group that cares for and manages the area.
-Support and information to help reduce crime within the community.

Joining up can be quick and easy, and it's FREE click onto this website www.ruralwatchscotland.co.uk Press the green JOIN button and follow the simple steps. You will be given the option to join a named existing scheme - choose the Appin scheme which is already set up.
