Roadworks A828 ACHNACONA CROFT (SOUTH OF APPIN)
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be undertaking essential carriageway resurfacing works on the A828 Trunk Road south of Appin, please find attached location plan for geographical clarity.
Works are provisionally programmed for construction starting on Wednesday 17th January to Monday 29th January between 7pm and 7am each night, with no works taking place on Fridays or Saturdays.
Due to restricted road widths through these sections of the A828, we have no option but to close the carriageway to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public. The A828 will therefore be closed in both directions 7pm to 6am. During periods of closure, amnesties at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm,12pm, 2am and 4am will allow waiting vehicles to be escorted through the site.
Emergency service vehicles will be allowed to pass through the site throughout the working period. Residential access/egress within the closure will be maintained wherever possible whilst the road is closed. Please be aware you may be asked to wait until it is safe to proceed.
