Night Closures from 7 pm to 6 am
Works are provisionally programmed for construction starting on Wednesday 6th November to the morning of Thursday 14th November.
Due to restricted road widths through a section of these works, we have no option but to close the carriageway to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public. The A828 will therefore be closed in both directions 7pm to 6am. During periods of closure, amnesties at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm,12pm, 2am and 4am will allow waiting vehicles to be escorted through the site.
Emergency service vehicles will be allowed to pass through the site throughout the working period. Public buses will be allowed through upon confirmation of timetable.
Access to the local road to North Shian (within the closure) will be maintained via amnesty. Exit from this junction will be whenever safe to allow. Alternative routes are available at Appin or North Creagan.
Out with these hours traffic management will be removed however, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
