As part of the ACDT Wellbeing series of activities currently running I have arranged for Argyll Emergency Training to deliver a first aid training course for our community.The training will cover basic life support including use of a defibrillator, care of an unconscious casualty, control of bleeding, seizures, Anaphylaxis, burns, plus the general aims of first aid.
The training is free to attend and is accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority, with certificates awarded upon completion. The training is a full day 9.00-3.30pm and will be held in Port Appin Hall.
There are limited places available, so booking is required.
There will be refreshments and lunch provided.
I hope you agree that this will provide a huge benefit to Appin to have more of our Community Members trained on first aid.
As there are very limited places, I will be working on a first come first served basis, however I will also create a waiting list for any future sessions we may be able to provide. Please also get in touch if you are interested but cannot make these dates.
