The failed defibrillator at Appin Hall has now been replaced with a new unit. This unit is highly visible and located in a new cabinet under the front porch. The old cabinet will shortly be removed.  Publicly available defibrillators are now available at the following locations:

Linnhe Marine PA38 4BN

Appin Hall PA38 4BG

Tom-a-Ghiuthais, Fasnacloich PA38 4BJ (registered with the Scottish Ambulance Service)

It will still take time for all units to be registered by the Ambulance Service, though residents should note their locations in the meantime.

In addition the Appin Fire and Rescue Service have a defibrillator available for emergency use.

In an emergency always call 999 for assistance and to locate the nearest PAD.

More units and some further user training are being planned to improve emergency access to PAD’s across the Appin area.
